VASIA and Vietravel Australia Sign MOU to Foster Strategic Collaboration

In July 2025, the Vietnam-Australia Startup & Innovation Association (VASIA) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Vietravel Australia, marking a significant milestone in fostering strategic cooperation between the two organizations.

The MOU signing ceremony, held in Melbourne, was attended by key representatives from both sides. Mr. Anthony Phan, Founder and President of VASIA, and Ms. Chrístine Ha Hoang, Director of Vietravel Australia, formalized the agreement in a spirit of mutual trust and shared vision.

The collaboration aims to enhance bilateral ties in the areas of tourism, cultural exchange, and startup innovation support for the Vietnamese community in Australia. Through this partnership, both parties will jointly promote initiatives that connect Vietnamese entrepreneurs and startups in Australia with tourism and business opportunities in Vietnam.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Anthony Phan emphasized the importance of building sustainable partnerships that serve the broader Vietnamese-Australian community. “This MOU represents our shared commitment to empower young entrepreneurs, support the Vietnamese diaspora, and promote Vietnam’s image through tourism and innovation,” he said.

Meanwhile, Ms. Trang expressed her confidence that the partnership would open new avenues for both organizations to collaborate on events, promotional campaigns, and tailored travel experiences that align with VASIA’s mission and community development goals.

The MOU is expected to kick off a series of joint programs starting later this year, including business tours, networking events, and mentorship activities tailored to Vietnamese startups and professionals across Australia.

This agreement marks a promising step forward for cross-sector collaboration, bridging culture, innovation, and entrepreneurship between Vietnam and Australia.
