VASIA and Saigon University Sign MOU to Foster Entrepreneurship and Innovation

Ho Chi Minh City, December 26, 2024 – The Vietnam–Australia Startup and Innovation Association (VASIA) and Saigon University (SGU) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), marking the beginning of a comprehensive partnership to promote entrepreneurship and innovation.

The signing ceremony took place at Saigon University with the participation of representatives from VASIA’s Executive Committee and SGU’s leadership team. On behalf of the university, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Minh Triet – Vice President of SGU – signed the agreement. Dr. Triet is recognized as one of the youngest associate professors in Vietnam, achieving the title at the age of 33 in 2020.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Anthony Phan – President of VASIA emphasized:
“The collaboration between VASIA and SGU goes beyond academic exchange. It aims to build a startup ecosystem that connects businesses, students, and researchers, creating practical values for the community.”

Under the agreement, both parties will work together to implement training programs, seminars, and research projects, while also connecting enterprises and investors to support students, faculty, and the broader startup community.

This MOU signing marks a significant milestone in fostering cooperation, partnership, and the spirit of innovation between Vietnam and Australia.
