On May 22, 2025, a significant milestone was marked as the Australian Vietnamese Family Association (AVFA) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Vietnam – Australia Startup and Innovation Association (VASIA), witnessed by members from both associations.
The formal signing ceremony was attended by:
-
Ms. Anna Dam – President of AVFA
-
Mr. Anthony Phan – President of VASIA
This MOU represents the beginning of a broad and meaningful collaboration between the two associations, with the goal of supporting the Vietnamese community in Northern Australia and strengthening connections between Vietnamese businesses and community initiatives across Australia.
Key commitments under the MOU include:
-
VASIA will support AVFA in connecting with businesses and organizations in Vietnam to collaborate on community activities such as Lunar New Year Festivals, Lantern Festivals, community information sessions, and strategic communications support.
-
AVFA will assist newly arrived Vietnamese migrants in Northern Australia through integration programs, training, legal information, and settlement support—particularly for individuals arriving under visa programs connected to VASIA.
The signing ceremony was not only a milestone in partnership but also a demonstration of the shared commitment to serving the Vietnamese community in Northern Australia—moving towards a future of stronger, more sustainable, and innovative connections.
Congratulations to AVFA and VASIA on this meaningful partnership!
Together, we will continue to spread the positive values of the Vietnamese community across Australia.
